On Christmas Eve, Adam and I hosted both of our families at our new place. After some fun trivia games at dinner, we decided to do one final game that would knock the socks off of everyone. On the inside of each place card, we had placed a letter, and the goal of the game was to work together to "guess the phrase". See how they did...

Adam's Special Gift
On Monday morning, December 1, I woke eagerly to take the infamous test. Adam was out surfing with a friend, so once I discovered the good news, I decided to stay home from work to share it with him. When he arrived back at the house, I presented him with a small box wrapped in pink and blue ribbon (although this caused no suspicion on his part). I declared that it was a late birthday, early Christmas gift. As he shook the box, I knew he was dreaming of a remote for a new flat screen, or some great gadget that I had been keeping from him. But instead, he opened the box to find the pregnancy test, positive result, and the best gift of all...a new life.
